I’d like to combine my new Voyager with my old MiniMoog D. Is there a source available to get a suitable s-trig cable which fits into the s-trigger jack of the old MiniMoog D? A separate s-trig connector would also help.
synthesizers.com makes those cables.
You can also make them yourself as I think Mouser sells the Cinch Jones plugs they require.

Man, I wish I had this problem… ![]()
How would you compare the sound of both units?
I have a Phatty and an RME… just curious.
oh no!
comparison. again!

just kiding
Erik,
thanks for the recommendation. I’ve contacted Mouser and I’ll see what they could offer. It is obviously very difficult to describe the type of connector.
Peter,
thanks for your reply. Actually I don’t want to compare the old with the new MiniMoog. The old one is a real dirt harmful animal. The new one, so far as I’ve investigated, is a civilized bank employee - even more dangerous!
A comination of both will create an explosive mixture I guess.
I thought everyone knew about the Model D/Voyager/Minimax shootout I did a couple of years ago with my buddy BrianG, but I guess not. It’s posted on KT:

The Cinch part number is P-302H-CCT. That would be the male two prong round with cable mount.
Here is a link to the Mouser PDF file page with those cinch connectors on it. Mouser carried them all at one time, but now only have the 2 to 6 prong ones. You should be able to find a vendor in Europe.

Remember if you are converting from a voltage gate to S-trig, you need a small circuit, that can fit inside the hood on the 2 prong connector.
