Hi Guys!
I recently dug out an old Opus 3 I had bought a few years ago which needs some repairs.
The only thing I need help with is a new internal transformer. As I am in Australia and the synth was purchased I want to replace the old 110volt transformer to a local 220volt transformer. I have been using a 220 to 110volt adapter until now, but fancy a permanent upgrade!
Anyhow, the problem is that the existing transformer has no markings other than the part no (!), and I don’t have a schematic or service manual (the user manual has no info to speak of).
Could anyone let me know what output voltage I would need to get? From my research it looks like Rogues and Prodigys are 24VAC, but I am not sure about the Opus 3?
Also, although I am okay with a sponge, a soldering iron and a screwdriver I am no electrical engineer! Is there any other (electrical) specs I need to know about when I go to the electronic parts store?
Any help whatsoever would be incredibly incredibly appreciated! ![]()
Thanks a lot you guys. Take it easy.
Nick.
