So my mom is visiting for my youngdest daughter’s birthday and she pointed out this metal case I have sitting around. I looked and it was this case that a pair of electric hair clipper s had come in. I removed the inside forms that held the clippers and such and was trying to think of what I could sue it for. My wife asked if the MInitaur would fit. It only had about an 1/8" crack left open as I gently closed it and it has some thin squishy foam inside. It doesn’t move at all and has enough room for the power supply, USB cable, MIDI cable, my apple iphone cord and adapter and probably a bit more if I needed 
It looks sort of like a teeny Doepfer case this way heh. I’ll post a pic sometime. I was amused greatly.

I had a similar experience. I bought a JoMoX drum machine that came “with case”. Well it was a cheap-o plastic case with one piece of egg crate foam in the inside. I didn’t hold anything in place but the JoMoX fit in so I took it.
Then when I got home, I found out that it fit 2 Foogers + an expression pedal or a single Fooger and 2 x EP-2 pedals and an extension cord with power supplies. Also, it’s #2 recyclable!! I can cary just that and my Bass into a studio without worrying about all sorts of heft and trouble.
You never know where you’ll find a low cost or free case for your gear; Don’t give in and just by something supposedly fit for purpose at Guitar center.
I bought a cheep cobra photo bag that is perfect for 3 foogers and CP + power supplies & volume pedal. And It is very safe!
