CC# For Pressure

Is there one? It’s not listed as ‘pressure’ in the CC list if there is.

Aftertouch is not a CC. It is however transmitted and recognized as standard MIDI by the voyager. (Like pitch, note on, note off and velocity)

So basically, multiple CC’s together make aftertouch?

Not really. A CC is a representation of a knob (or Control) They allow you to twist knobs through MIDI as if you were turning them on the synth. Since you can’t do that to the aftertouch, there is no CC for it. Just like there are no MMC’s on a voyager. There are no transport controls for them to act on. Most controllers send the pitch, velocity, note on, note off and aftertouch and release velocity from their keyboards and there are no CC’s for those items. (You can turn them on or off, but that is the extent, usually.)

I know what CC’s are, been working with MIDI since the early nineties.

I just thought your previous post meant that you could control pressure by controlling other elements of the pressure process, like note on/off, velocity, etc.

I misunderstood you, sorry.

No problem. I’ve been avoiding MIDI since the 80’s. But you can’t help but pick it up by accident! You could of course take the CV from the 351 and use a convertor to turn it into a MIDI stream, but it would only be one way. To control it coming in I think you could use a macro and create a controller to control it while filtering the real aftertouch from the stream. Depending on how strong your software is.
