Can't send new firmware

Hi, I have just got hold of a second little phatty for my set up which I am trying to do a firmware update on. I did the firmware update a few days ago on my first LP and it worked fine, but on my new one it’s not responding.

I have tried sending it using the PhattyLoader and sysex Librarian with no luck, I am using USB MIDI (but have also tried standard MIDI via a MIDI interface). What is odd though is that I am able to send presets, just not firmware.

Is there something that I am missing here??

What is the model & firmware version of the LP you are trying to upgrade?

Which firmware release are you trying to use for the upgrade?

It’s a moog little phatty stage II, running version 2.103 trying to update to the latest from moog downloads (3.1 I think)

there’s your problem. There’s a v2-to-v3 update that must be run first.

Try this:

read the instructions carefully; for example you might have missed the step where you go the Master menu, System Utilities, and set FW UPDATE: ON
(this is a required step if you are updating an LP SEII from firmware v2; it’s not needed once you are in firmware v3)
