Can the expression pedal be used with the VX-352?

I have both and an RME, but I never used the pedal. It uses a TRS cable, right? So I’m a little confused. Can it only work with the Voyager keyboard?

It should work on both the keyboard version and RME. Which pedal?

I think it’s either an EP-2 or EP-3. I’m not sure how I can tell.

Either one should work. The EP3 has a polarity switch. Try the other position if you have it. Also can you confirm the pedal works with another device?

When you say “polarity switch” is that labelled “standard ↔ other” on the bottom of the unit? If not then it sounds like I’ve got the EP-2, as I only have the one switch on the bottom.

Yes- that is the polarity switch. I believe the EP-2 has a fixed cable and the EP-3s is removable.

Excellent I have the EP-3. One last question: so basically I can connect the pedal to any input on the VX-352? Although I guess MOD 1 and MOD 2, filter cut off, oscillator pitch and wave would be sensible choices.

Yes, exactly. You can also connect Control Voltage (CV) signals (example LFO output from another synth) if you have them available.

My xv352 has white rings around the sockets that take expression pedals.

I would like to see a eurorack format version of the VX-352 produced. Unfortunate that this unit is so hard to come by/expensive in 2021, lots of great modular units out now that could expand the possibilities of the RME.

A euro rack version wouldn’t fit in the moogerfooger rack kits alongside the xv351 and cp251. If you want to patch with eurorack you can use cables with 1/4 inch jack on one end and minijack on the other.
If you have the money put aside for one you’ll find they come up every so often at reasonable prices or you can make offers to sellers.

I already have a eurorack version of the vx 351 with some nice improvements, and have a different eurorack preference to the CP 251.
