Bypass Switch Failed 105M

Hi folks

Have been using a Midi MuRF for the past few months, purchased second hand and been working well up until now.

Today the bypass switch has failed. It’s stuck on and I can no longer bypass.

Anyone know how to fix or replace it? Think I need to send it away for repair?

Anyone tried replacing it with an arcade button instead of the noisy foot switch, such as this:

Thanks, Jon

Oh well, that was actually really easy - just opened it up, checked the connections to the switch - must have been a dry solder joint…

Switch now works again

Still might install the arcade button to make switching silent! Got that tip from DJTT…

One thing you want to make sure of when replacing switches with non standard ones is whether or not they will fail when dirt gets inside them. There’s a reason that Moog has chosen their ‘loud’ switch, it’s all about durability. If you keep your Foogers on a table, they will of course stay much cleaner than if you place them on the floor and press them with your feet (especially if you’re wearing shoes that you wear outside as well).

The Echoplex Digital Pro comes with an optional 7 switch foot pedal and these are super quiet. Though they fail all the time if you don’t keep them clean. You may want to go in that direction.
