Broken MF-102?

Hi!

My mf-102 starts up with all three led´s lit up. They´re all red and nothing happens when I turn the knobs. The only sound that comes out is a humming sound. Nothing in the input jacks…
Anyone else had this problem?
Anyway to reset the whole unit on startup or does it sound like I have to give it a proper repair?

Did you plug in anything odd to it recently, cv or audio wise? When I plugged my old beat up organs audio out the carrier in it blew the op amp I think it was. It did something similar to that, no hum but any audio passing through was really quite and distorted, bad distorted the “oh crap I just blew something” distorted.

Actually It´s now borrowed. And if I´ll make it work I´ll get to buy it really cheap. According to the owner a power supplier with a - centre might have been plugged in. I guess this could explain it but still curious what might be the problem. An easy fix or that the whole unit might be broken?

Did you manage to repair yours?

Did you plug a power supply up to it that exceeed the specs? My cousin accidentally did that with a Freqbox and all the LEDs let up and only a hum came out. Sounds like you fried it! If so, that will definately be a factory repair and not under warranty.

Eric

It may need service from Moog.

First, are you sure you have the correct power supply ? It should be a 9 volt POSITIVE tip wall wart, rated around 300ma. If the ma (milliamp) rating is more that’s fine but it has to be 9 volts positive tip.

Make sure that some how you do not have a VAC, power adapter that steps the 120 volts down to a lower AC voltage that is then converted to DC voltage inside the unit. For example the Mulit Pedal uses a 12VAC, 500mA output power adapter, the converts the voltage to DC inside of the multi pedal.

Good luck
