Thanks analoghaze,
the timefactor is one i’ve not checked out yet.
Have been looking at the t-res too. Doesn’t look very controlable though the lfo can be retriggered by the audio in. Reckon I’ll get one for the studio for pure creation purposes.

I had the line 6 delay before i got the mf104…it is stereo. its actually a pretty good delay pedal with alot of decent sounding settings (and alot of crappy ones too). i sold it because of the high price tag of the 104z. but i have been playing a friends (original 104) for a few years and when he moved away, i had to get one for myself.
I am staying away from these forums. I just bought an RE-20!
I can’t afford you guys any more!!!

Who am I kidding? I’ll always be back!

Just wanted to give the RE-20 another big thumbs up. Pretty much have my voyager going through this at all times. It really send it into space!
Here is a video I made last year of some very 50’s Forbidden Planet sounding fx using the Voyager and RE-20.

I played the voyager and many other synths both through a roland re-201 space echo and a moogerfooger delay. they’re both amazing and warm sounding units: before trying them out I was not convinced about the need to spend hundreds of euros for a delay effect. now nearly any software or digital delay sounds really cold and sterile to my ears.
re-201 also has that nice spring reverb you were talking about, but it also needs much more care than the moog delay with all of its tape related issues. also the subtle pitch variations in the echo due to tape fluttering are going to give to your space sounds an unexpected and very musical feel. try to believe. but yes you need tape here: no digital emulation is going to give you that result. putting the delay or spring verb effect before the filter section gives you the opportunity to gate and filter the effect, which is a really interesting trick when properly done.
I too use the new Space Echo with my Voyager. I also use the Boss EV5 pedal to control the feedback in real time. Neat setup actually.
Can someone tell me how to post photos? I can send a pic of my Voyager pedalboard. It’s the mustache on my Mona Lisa!

The answer to this is in the FAQ section.
Hope you have a Flickr account, or equivalent. ![]()
I use the Voyager through a 2 channel Lexicon MX200,it has tap tempo, and fantastic delays also with tape effect and an interesting spring reverb patch amongst others, sure it’s not analog but i’m impressed with the quality of it.
I love me my Carbon Copy…

My Moog pedal setup, for your edification
Needs more Moog. ![]()
You’re missing the “waist-level” shot of the Voyager.
BTW, Here’s a bad Mini solo with the Boss
Very nice video! Also checked out a couple of your other vids. Gives me something to strive for when making videos. ![]()
Thanks! I’d suggest not wobbling around drunkenly like my wife did.
I have a tripod. ![]()
digging up an old thread..
It appears the RE-20 has a expression pedal (CV) input,
anyone have any experience with controlling this with an lfo from a moogerfooger or anything like that?
Have been doing a huge amount of reading up on products, essentially im trying to find a delay pedal with controllable cv parameters (for that sequenced warping sound) without the immense price tag of a 2nd hand moogerfooger delay -
if anyone has any other suggestions, i’d certainly like to hear them..
this company has some pretty amazing looking products in the works but they’re still months off production.. http://www.koma-elektronik.com/WP/
The re-20 sounds good, but not close to the original. Mainly because each original had a unique sound due to tape wear, magnetic head wear, tape tension, wow and flutter etc. Plus the original was unpredictable, doing all kinds of weird things like incomplete erases and subtle speed changes. But I guess its never fair to compare remakes, especially digital ones. You can get an original re-101 without reverb for around $300-350. I have and have had a lot of analog gear, and I have become such a snob that I won’t keep anything I don’t find extremely exceptional, my re-201 being one. It is an amazing effect, so sweet and trippy. But the re-20 sounds cool, just not in the same league.
I’ve got an excellent Re-101 that I’m looking to give a new home…if anyone is interested, message me.

I have the RE-20 & have just started using it with my Voyager OS / VX-351 / CP-251 set-up & was wondering the same thing… ![]()
I’vr tried sticking a jack cord into the pedal input & then connecting that to stuff like the LFO output on the CP-251 …but no joy…? I did get control via the mod-wheel output from the VX-351 though..but it’s ‘automating’ the pedal input, by an env trigger or LFO etc that interests me..
Not sure why some CVs seem to control the RE-20 pedal input & others wont…or I must be using them wrongly somehow..
Anyone advise ?
This is a video of my friend Neil Alexander using my Minimoog with the RE-20. This pedal is a great bang for the buck.
