Anyone else having trouble with their black friday sale orders?
I placed an order last week that just kind of got stuck and went nowhere. Still hasnt even debited the card.
I’m going to have to cancel it now before I leave town. Just curious if Moog got overwhelmed from Black Friday madness, if it was a glitch, or I just have bad luck with web orders in general.
great, they shipped it anyway even after I cancelled it.
Sorry I love Moog sound, but the customer service not so much.
I know it’s just a silly merch order not a synth or anything. But if you screw up the merch orders, they wont BUY the big synths from you.
Shame, I really liked the Sub37 I checked out at the Synth Fest in Brooklyn.
It is more economical to order a major purchase from a dealer. But does it make sense to deny yourself an awesome instrument because Moog let a t-shirt order fall through the cracks?
Well naturally I am more inclined to buy a synth through Sweetwater or B&H. I am more speaking to how the interactions I have had with Moog over the past few years have been frustrating. I am starting to get the impression that they are a very seat of the pants kind of company. Which is fine if you are some kitchen sink modular synth brand. But Moog has been around since forever and should be a bit more solid in their interactions. Not to mention their firmware!
Though I have been buying vintage gear and synth modules and those aren’t carried through vendors, I look towards Novamusik first, especially for Moog stuff. They sold me my Select Series Voyager and vx351 for 2999 new. And my father a Fantom G8 for the same price. They quoted me cheaper than pre-order price on the mf-108.
So Sweetwater can’t match that.
But I did buy all my camera gear through B&H. Too bad we can’t get that stuff way below list.
Novamusik indeed has some crazy good deals. I simply dont understand how they put together some of the bundles they do and still make money.
When I pick up an Analog 4 or perhaps a Moog, it will probably be through them.
Though I do tend to favor Sweetwater simply because they can split up a big purchase into 3 payments. That was how I bought my Taurus.
wow still no refund.
I know there was the holidays and NAMM and everything, but Moog is fast turning me into an ex-customer.
Call them.
finally got the refund.
Jesus chirst this required an inordinate amount of effort.
Message to Moog, you aren’t the only synth manufacturer around.
Today we all shed a tear for you, calaverasgrande.
whatever troll.
The world is exploding with new synths right now, many of which are forward thinking and innovative. Not reiterations of some golden age from several decades ago, or overpriced products for dad-rock garage bands and nouveau riche dot commers. All the reason not to put up with a company that behaves as if they own the word synthesizer but have done nothing new in decades.
Hey if you guys are satisfied with Moogs brand of customer service good for you. I vote with my dollar and I vote elsewhere for the time being.
So you bought some merch to make people think you’re in a Moog dad-rock garage band? Then, you had issues from a small BLACK FRIDAY order when the company is swamped, but decided not to actually call in? Instead, you then come onto the Moog forum (filled with Moog fans) to bitch and moan? You want a cookie?
Cal,
As much as I acknowledge your complaint, you can’t deny that the voices on those Moog Modulars are the best in the industry though. They are probably some of the best built synthesizers on the planet.
