Beatmaker 2 recording midi note poly-pressure from Animoog.

I’ve been trying to find a similar solution: recording in midi my Animoog performances on the same iPad without losing any effect. No luck yet. I’ve been directed to BM2, Genome MS, Midi Bridge. I haven’t tested any of them yet myself but heard no one yet on this forum confirming success. Anyone succeeded? Thanks – Alex

I bought Genome Midi Sequencer and it does work indeed (based one my 1-minute test) for recording the entire pertinent midi messages. However, since Genome is pattern-based, it ends up not being what I’m looking for! Will keep looking for a Animoog-compatible “classic” sequencer that can record Animoog midi directly on the iPad. I’m closer to try Midi Bridge now…

Sorry, I can’t comment on bm2, I don’t have it (yet?!). Good luck – Alex

Another limitation of BeatMaker 2 for Animoog, at least according to the forum posts on BM2 forums, is the lack of Animoog’s Legato. This, added to lack of proper poly-pressure support, is another serious limitation of BM2.

My quest for a non-pattern based iPad sequencer for Animoog continues…
