Hi, I’ve just received my E Pro, and being a complete beginner with theremins i’m hoping someone can answer a simple question for me. The output switch on the front panel doesn’t appear to do anything at all. It has a green light on it that remains green in both positions. I’m using headphones only at the moment as I don’t have an amp at home, and the output to the phones is still there regardless of the position of the switch. My question is this: is this simply because i’m using headphones, and not the output jack under the unit (ie a monitor signal), or should the light change to red when I switch it off (as it is shown in the DVD that comes with the pro), in which case the unit may be faulty??? Cheers, Seamus.
I don’t own one, but it sounds faulty. The audio should stop when you put it on standby. You might want to check it by hooking it up to a guitar amp or whatever via the regular output jack. I would think the standby switch would be very handy when working properly.
the standby switch only shuts off the signal from the output jack so that you can silence it when playing with an amp. It’s always on with headphones, and the switch is always lite and green

I’m not sure what your talking about. all the Epro’ds I’ve seen, the standbye light stays on. It doesn’t really matter anyway because it doesn’t affect anything. You can see it’s direction, whether on or off in the dark. As far as the standby output, it’s just meant to cut off the signal from the output plug, not the headphone jack.
