Bank button and step sequencer connection - future update?

Comparing to older pictures of the front panel, I notice that mine has a line between the [Latch] button and [Bank] button, labeled step.
Does anyone know if this is part of a future firmware update or something? Like maybe selecting sequencer step with the preset/bank buttons. Nothing is mentioned in the manual what this marking means.

Yes, this is a feature which is coming (soon) in a future firmware update. Pressing BANK + LATCH will enter a step-editing mode where individual sequence steps can be selected and modified.

You mean to turn individual steps on and off? Really looking forward to this!

A way to skip steps would be nice too.
