Background?

Does the Moog app run in the background? Can you run other audio apps at the same time without problems?

Thanks

I know sunvox will run in the background while either moog app are running in the foreground (both moog apps cannot run at the same time, as far as i know) - the current build of sunvox is the only music app i know of that can stay playing in the background while pretty much any audio app is rocking up front…

also, the following apps claim to run/record in the background so essentially you could record a long performance session with either moog app with these apps(see method below the links):

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voice-recorder-hd/id373045717?mt=8
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/italk-recorder/id293673304?mt=8 (free)

you could do a loopback method: run a 1/8male->male stereo cable from a headphone splitter on your out (assuming you have the camera connection kit, and ipad, and say a griffin imic) - then run the other end of the stereo cable into the line input on the imic. in theory you should be able to record a filtatron or animoog performance this way (if the apps record in background as they claim)… or you just plug 1/8" male end into your laptop or field recording device and record a session that way?

hope this info helps some people!

I might be missing the point, but apart from the iPhone 4 multitasking ability,It seems you can overdub in Animoog and save several sound files and use something like Hokusai app to join it all together?

This is a slightly different issue although I have just posted that I’m having problems getting constant audio from Animoog while using it in the background/as background audio…it kicks out and just isn’t working right at all. But, I can’t save the files I make either–I can save the name, but when I go back to the app to play it again it doesn’t play. Unless I copy the file and save elsewhere I can’t play it. Does someone know how I can actually play a file in Animoog after creating it and saving it?
