I’ currently writing my bachelor thesis and I’m researching in the field of interface design. The result should be a list of requirements for an Ableton Live Controller and therefore I need your help! I know this Forum has its focus on standalone hardware synthesizers, but maybe some of you also use Ableton. I think your experience could be quite interesting for my research…

Unfortunately an user observation is too extensive, but I can extract useful informations from the posts here, additional discussions and opinions on this topic would be awesome!
I’m mainly using a simple laptop setup with an Akai LPD8 controller. It’s cool and I can get productive very quickly, but it don’t feel like I have full control and flexibility. For me most controllers still feel like a compromise, not like a solution. But I’ not sure in which direction the evolution could go, or if this evolution is possible at all. New input devices? New or different protocols? …
