ATTN: Moog Music

IM working on a powerpoint presentation for school on a brief history of Moog Music. Im wondering if you can provide me with the fonts you use and maybe a vector based logo so that I can really make it look authentic.

If you can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Most Respectfully,
Eric

EricK, doing an image search on Google for Moog Logo comes up with some great JPG’s of the logo. You may be able to find the fonts used as well, but that may take more time. Good luck on your presentation!

How timely. I just came to the Moog site to see where they’re putting the Moog logo on the post Big Briar models when I decided to visit this forum.

As far as I know, the Moog logo doesn’t use any kind of font. It seems to be custom designed, and I had to draw it up from scratch in vector based format in Corel Draw for Moog stickers I’m selling. Because of that I don’t want to give out that file, but I had to draw up an entire Polymoog panel in vector format for my Polymoog coffee table (will go up on auction soon), and had to use my vector based Moog logo in it and it’s in PDF format. You can download the Polymoog panel from one of the files below, zoom in as much as you want on the Moog logo which is on the preset panel, and then do a screen capture and paste into whatever app you use that can take a bitmapped image. You can get any size you want with nice smooth resolution.

Do you work for Moog Elhardt? If not, why would you be making money off a plagerised Moog logo?

Why would you sell Moog stickers when all you have to do is send them an E-mail and ask for some to be mailed to you? :open_mouth: I’m sure Mr. Adams would LOVE to have a talk with you. With your lawyer present, of course.

No I don’t work for Moog. I made up some Polymoog and Multimoog/Micromoog sized replacement stickers/logos because my Polymoog sticker was all scraped up (by Moog Music themselves) and needed replacing and so does my old yellowing Multimoog back side logo, and other people needed replacements too. Moog doesn’t provide replacements for those parts. Nor do they provide bumper stickers which some people like to use them as.

-Elhardt

Bumper stickers? Yes, they have those. I’ve got twenty of them. Plain black, about six inches long, an inch and a half wide…they’re free for the asking.

If you need the Moog logo in a vector format, just write me.
I have it in EPS, HPGL and others.
Both the name logo and the note logo too.
Also Arp, Oberheim, Korg and many others.

In the post above I answer that question and I’m sure Moog doesn’t make the right sizes. In fact, I doubt they’d have any kind of stickers to send me if I emailed them. But if people want to censor and suppress other’s arts and crafts, I could provide lots of links and examples of people using Moog and other’s logos, names, and product designs in everything from t-shirts, labcoats, to keychain and jewelry items, to photos of gear, not to mention cloned circuit designs. Then they can go after everybody. Here’s a couple to start off with:

Kevin, is there anything cool that you DON’T have? You are the number one source for all things awesome. If you and Chuck Norris walked into a bar together, the place would explode because one building cannot hold that much awesome within it! :open_mouth:

Great, maybe I’ll ask for some in the future if I run out after I stick my moog stickers on everything. But that wasn’t the reason for me doing them, nor in the sizes and styles I did them in. People will still need to come to me if they want some nice high gloss laminated vinyl stickers for the specific synths I mentioned and in a chose of different colors too.

-Elhardt

Now that is something cool and different! Why not ask Moog if they want to carry them in stock and have them available for purchase? You make money, they make money, we get stickers…everybody happy! BTW…I was kidding about the lawyer bit…thus the  . Sorry if you were offended.

I wasn’t offended and I figured you were sort of half joking, but I was also partly responding to the other person who brought up me selling plagiarized Moog logos. But there’s not much money to make in selling stickers. Moog doesn’t even need me in the loop at all for that. It’s expensive for me to get them printed but probably cheap for Moog to get them printed. I’ve only sold enough to pay for the printing of two sheets of stickers (some of that non-Moog stuff) and that was about all I was hoping for, just to sell off the excess.

And I meant to say “choice” in my last post, not “chose”. I’m getting tired.

If you and Chuck Norris walked into a bar together, the place would explode because one building cannot hold that much awesome within it! Shocked

I had dinner once with Chuck and his family.
The room didn’t explode.
But thanks.

I figured that’s what you meant. I’m used to reading between the words on forums. And I assumed you printed the stickers yourself. If that was the case, my suggestion would have made sense. That’s cool though.

Hey, as long as you’re not mass-producing like those other hacks, you’re fine in my book. I realise there must be a small market for new stickers, and good on you for supplying that niche.

Perhaps your house is Chuck Norris proof? His is for sure…I’m also sure the whole town he lives in is. I’ll bet if Mr. T and Sylvester Stallone were there, the fallout would have destroyed everything within 200 miles! :open_mouth:

Want a good laugh? Google for “find chuck norris” and click “I’m Feeling Lucky”

Hahaha, good one!

LOL!

I’m not even gonna ask.

I don’t know if my house is Chuck Norris proof.
I live in a geodesic dome. He’d really have to explode well.
But anyways, I went to his house, which had been converted to a recording studio.
I guess I found Chuck Norris.
Real nice guy, btw.
One of the few people I’ve met that’s as short as me!
