Arturia Moog Modular V midi problems ?

For some reason when I play my midi keyboard there is a slight delay before i hear the note using MMV. No matter what patch i use. I don’t have this problem with any other software, just MMV. It messes me up when i’m trying to play because it’s not in sync with my fingers.

Can anyone help?

Arturia not moog. latency is your problem. get a new soundcard or adjust your settings.

Thanks for the fast reply. I just lowered the latency to 60, then 50, then 40. It seems like the sound becomes a little more choppy when i lower it. Could the soundcard really be the problem? Latency isn’t a problem with my other software.

Hi Mac. I’m not sure, do you know how I might find out? I’m not really great with computers, I’m more of a musician. Still I’m learning :slight_smile:

Also, which is better? I’m planning on having a new computer built from www.actonlinestore.com/ in the next couple months. I don’t know what kind of sound card would be better, etc…

I’ve had better luck with ASIO. :slight_smile:
I’ve used the MiniMoog V on MOTU-2408 (ASIO) and almost everyday on my main system running TDM HW with Digi’s (ASIO) with no problems.
BTW i’m on Win XP Pro.
