Arp / Lfo triggering - free run

hello,
just got my fisrt LP and i enjoy it very much.
however, the way the arpegiator works confuses me somehow :

i would like to know if there is a way to play the lfo / arp in free run :
if i sync the LP on midi clock, it will play at the right tempo but it will restart each time i press a key (not lock to the grid), that is sometime usefull, sometimes not good. if i play for example “moroder” kind of arpegio in latch mode, i want the arpegiator to keep perfectly on time even if i press a key forward.
is there any way to select the way lfo and arp triggers? => FREE RUN / TRIGGER.

thanks for your help !

Vincent

hello again,
am i wrong configuring the midi sync or the arpegiator ?
is my post unclear? i am not english so maybe this does not mean anything?
could you confirm what i experience with the arpegiator?

thanks,

vincent

Hi vincent,

Your post makes sense. I think that there is not currently a way to do this, but I suspected from the beginning that it would be a good option. We felt like we had to choose only one way or the other, and we chose the more flexible option.

If it is possible, I would like to add some options to the arpeggiator in the next firmware update, and I will remember this request. It would be good to have the option to choose free-running or triggered, as you suggest. I’ll see what I can do.

Kind regards,

Amos

great to hear this !

the ability to switch trigger/free run for the arp and lfo is essential to me,
i can’t wait, i need it on stage ! (i am not playing tight enough…)

thank you very much,

vincent

For latching arpeggio, this is really crucial to have…
if you are not latching, you can solve this problem by playing legato; it will keep the timing the same. It only re-triggers when all keys are released before the next key is pressed.
