Any way to dim / turn down voyager led?

Hey, silly question I know but worth a shot…

Is any way to dim / turn down the voyagers led’s?

its the little knob on the right next to the keys

If I remember you’ve got an XL, right ?

There are only 6 LEDs, and one is flashing (LFO) and one is blinking occasionally (MIDI) and one is permanently lit (either Panel, Edit, or Master). So, only two are lit most of the time. Do they bother you that much ?
There are no way to adjust their brightness, unfortunately for you. Might I suggest putting on some sunglasses maybe ? :sunglasses:

And you’d better not order some lighted MOD WHEELS, because if you thought your current LEDs were bright, you would be blinded by those !

Classic! sunny’s it is ha ha  , Na its not to much of a prob, but after staring at the XL for a few hours the panel LED gets a bit tiring to look at, its big and bright as hell lol

Those back lit mod wheels look so cool, my XL has smoke black translucent mod wheels, I reckon the solar color would look sweet, match the wood! (not sure if it would have the same effect as the clear ones)

Is it an easy mod? cant afford to ship it to moog from Aus

I’m not even sure it’s even available as a separate mod. And as I said, those lighted mod wheels are so bright that they can light-up a whole room !

I had the same problem when I got my Minimoog and wanted to use the feedback to the filter trick to get some kind of warm distortion (especially for lead electric guitar-type sounds), the overload lamp is blinding on that thing when it lights-up! It sure gets your attention…

Nice! I have not yet played with external in yet, cant wait! (wheres my welding goggles :smiling_imp:) think I will stare clear of the mod wheel mod then

The Mod Wheel LEDs of my Voyager Performer were really very painfull to the eyes when the synth was new!
I opened the modwheel box and just bend the LEDs downwards. Much better!

Any way to add led to Moog Voyager face if it didn’t come like that?
My mod wheel and pitch bend are lit, but I opted not to get led lights on my faceplates because of numerous issues I read about before I decided to purchase. composing in a dark room it might be a little helpful

You could put a tiny piece of masking tape on the LED.
