any one in redding CA? 530?

I have no idea how to use my mini moog.
It does appear to work perfect! I mean I can get a triangle, and pure tone all that.
Nothing weird other then the keyboard needing cleaned out.

But when I tune it for a sound it just goes to pure hell.
I try for an hour a day but no joy yet.

I get lots of electrical static sounds when I make a patch.
But its clear when I try triangle and all that.

No idea how the filters work and what they do.

Im willing to pay $25 an hour and at least $50 for a short visit little over an hour?

Redding? 530?

Unfortunately I’m 3000 miles away, but from what you describe, your Mini sounds like it needs a good electrical cleaning job, contacts, connectors, keyboard, potentiometers, etc…

As for learning how to use it, there are already a lot of resources on the web that wiil help you understand the beast. But you need it to be in good health first…

I’m in Grass Valley CA 530…it’s a bit closer than 3000 miles but still a ways from Redding…

I agree thou, sounds like you might need work done to your mini,

at any rate I can teach you but you should save your money and read up and watch youtube etc…

I only have a Sub Phatty and Sub 37 but my 37 filter knob came broken :frowning: still haven’t put aside the time and money to send it back but I got till Aug…Sub Phatty’s rocking hard! I love my Moog’s!

Save your money, but shoot a video if you can.

It was suggested that I put some delay, chorus and flanger on the moog.

I think im going to work on the repair aspect of the moog first.
I mean its there, its mine, its paid for and its not going anyplace so I might as well dismantle it entirely and get the wood parts fixed and the keys repaired.

In this link on removing the keyboard..
http://www.bustedgear.com/repair_Moog_minimoog_key_bushings_2.html

If I have all manner of key issues, swirly keys, keys higher then some, keys to close to each other…
what parts should I look for to get? pratt read bushings?

I have fixed a prophet 600 once and a few junos with dirty keys with alcohol and cotton swabs.

Consult your nearest repair technician or EE.

Ah man I just moved from Redding a few months back. Did lots of tech work there. I may be making a trip down there soon though. You can PM me and we can stay in touch if I come down soon.

Cheers.
