Any Final Select Series lurkers?

I ordered my mini on sept 29th it arrived Nov. 28th with an out of whack amp envelope. I sent it back for repairs yesterday. Who knows how long it’ll be now. :frowning:

this is why i drove to sweetwater (about 3 1/2hours away) to pick mine up, i wanted to see it in person to check everything out, and did not trust usps, ups, fedex or any other postal service to transport it safely. i have a feeling thats how a lot of voyager issues come about

Receiving a defective unit after waiting for a good quarter of the year is my worst fear. At this point I’ve lowered my expectations and just hope for something to arrive before the end of the year.

I do find myself concerned about the possibility that the quality control could be declining due to the recent influx of orders. Reading about all the hardware problems on these forums is not helping comfort me, while I wait. Astricii’s experience of receiving a broken unit right off the bat simply breaks my heart. Learning that people drive hours just to pick theirs up, because it is perceived as delicate, is not very reassuring either.

I really hope my concerns are unwarranted and that these cases are the rare exception and not the norm. I mean, unless you drive down to Moog and pick it up personally, it has got to be shipped out and able to survive the trip. This is my first experience with two highly reputable companies and I’m really hoping to not have a negative experience in the end. But I must admit, that the ever growing delay in my order has been pretty damn brutal and allowed my imagination to run a bit wild.

:bulb: Maybe someone can chime in that after their long anticipated wait, they received their new select series voyager without issue and it worked flawlessly (to uplift all our spirits).

Yeah it was maybe a couple of weeks later they announced the select series would be no more. I was super stoked to get in before the closing bell

Still waiting for mine I ordered on 3rd October. Getting on for 11 weeks now. Hoping it’ll be here by Xmas. Come on Santa!

New estimated arrival at Sweetwater is the 27th. Guessing it’s cheaper
for Sweetwater to get a big ol’ analogue pallet of goodness than do it piecemeal.

Had my select for all of 3 days. The VCA envelope was out of whack when it arrived. Going past noon on the decay or release knob would result in a sustained pitch. So after 7 weeks of waiting I’m on week 3 of waiting to hear back about the warranty work. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

So yeah, I recommend anyone buying these, should probably spring for the extended coverage… I have a feeling it’s going to be worth it in the long run.

Last update I got from sweeter was that they were expecting a shipment from Moog on the 12/20 for my order. I have emailed them for an update since it is the 27th now and have still heard nothing. I’ll keep you guys posted on their response.

Your order is still in tact. I checked the ETA again today and it got pushed into next year. The tentative ETA is the 11th, although that can still change.
Sorry for the delay, I hope we see these rather soon.

14 weeks and counting… not including the additional shipping needed from sweetwater. My original delivery estimation was for 11/15 and this is the 3rd major delay. It’s all starting to feel like some elaborate troll at this point. I’m going to go cry myself to sleep. :open_mouth: :neutral_face: :frowning:

sigh Last time I e-mailed my UK dealer about my order they didn’t reply. I’ve only checked three times in the eleven weeks since I ordered. Bit miffed. They’ve always said they can’t give me a proper estimated date either. Starting to wish I’d just got a stock Electric Blue instead…

I just got notification that my Select Series has been shipped. If you ordered a Mahogany or Maple from Sweetwater, the floodgates may have been opened…

@CarlRoda - Out of curiosity, what did the Sweetwater sticker on the back say?
Mine said 17 of 24 - Mahogany. I’m wondering if that means only 24 of the last run
were made of any light color. (I guess it’s just geek info…)

I think they’re doing 24 of each wood with the 10 year anniversary badge on the side cab.

Well after another delay due to storms on the east coast making it impossible to ship, the ever elusive voyager is set to arrive tomorrow (1/8). Here’s crossing my fingers that it will arrive in pristine condition. It’s great to see some success stories rolling in. I hope to add another one for you guys tomorrow.
