Hi everybody, I’d like to ask the board some help. I recently bought a new 4th generation ipad, and also the animoog app. It works really well, except for the very unexpected fact that it crashed 2 times while I was playing. I was not working on very complicated patches, so.. I really didn’t expect this sort of thing to happen on such a well crafted application and also on an ipad. Did any of you ever experienced this?
The app practically closes itself - but it doesn’t quit, if you double tap the main button on the ipad you can find the application there, the things you were working on simply disappears, it starts from the default patch.
If anybody could help me that would be great!
Cheers
Did you try shutting down all other background apps by using the double press and then exiting each one? You may be running out of memory.
Also, if you haven’t already, try completely shutting down then restarting your iPad.
I’ve seen it make a difference on occasion after some memory-intensive apps were first installed.
Thank you both for the reply!
I actually did both of the action you suggest. The first time it happened, I shut down all other apps, the second time I restarted my ipad. Since then it happened a third time and now I use the application for short periods of time, like 7 minutes or less - when Animoog crashed it happened after using it more than 10 minutes.
The app works fine with Audiobus. Like I said, now I turn it on from there and sample the sound on Samplr, than I work there. Which is actually what I want to do, but I’m a little disappointed though. Shaping a sound requires time, especially on a software, I think you perfectly understand what I mean.
These weeks I don’t have time to try the app extensively again, but I also thought that this crush might occur when I tap the “store” button.. I kind of remember I did it all the 3 times the crash occurred.
Thank you again for your help!
