Does anyone know of a place in New York where they carry analogue synths? I searched the web and the only store in the US worth a damn seems to be Big City Music in L.A. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, those are good resourses although 2 lines is pretty pricey. They’re selling a roland rs-09 for $400. I picked one up from ebay for $114. I’m really looking for a modular though, but I didn’t specify that. I’ll keep on eye on those sites.
I doubt you’re going to find any stores that sell modulars, except maybe the tiny little ones with keyboards sized for children… I saw a couple this past week in a guitar center store… maybe a Roland???.. It did have patch cords… I dunno… but it wasn’t for any serious modular person, that’s for sure.
I have a friend there who rents out all of his modulars to varius studios. His email can be found on the Synthesizers.com users group on yahoo… try this link: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/synthesizerscomgroup/?yguid=10321232 you’ll have to join the group. jrlaudio… @ something.whatever. Anyway, he may know.
In the meantime, since moog no longer makes modulars, I don’t think this would a problem to say that you should check out www.Synthesizers.com. It is the most ‘Moog-like’ of all of the currently built analog modulars around, even MOTM. The prices are very good. And service is simply the best. Period. They’ve even got a special 12-month program to get you started if budget is a problem. Power specs are like +15v/-15; 5v per octave… works great with most any other brand of module.
