The temperature in my music room fluctuates from warm (when in use) to quite cool (when not in use). I find if I turn up the heat and fire up the Phatty a little while before playing tuning is not a problem.
My question: will this fluctuating temperature in any way damage the Phatty?
As far as I know, if the room isn’t dusty or wet, there is no problem.
The worse that can happen with a cold room is bad tuning (just the other day I took out my LP for maintenance and it came back cold as ice… at first, some of the patches didn’t make any sound at all, like if the oscillators were dumb, then at room temperature, it got normal)
My room is on the western side of the house. It gets hot as a result. I do not run my
gear when it is heatwave conditions like now. My synths definitely they are affected by any temperature fluctuation but it takes a drop or rise of about 3C.
