alesis micron and ring mod

Hello all, this is my first post on the forum, i’ve been lurking for a bit but decided to sign up after receiving the Mf-102 recently (its my first piece of Moog equipment) and i’ve got some questions after playing around with it. I play guitar and keys and so far i’ve really enjoyed the different sounds i can get through the Ring Mod but I’m wondering if there is anything else i can do with it in relationship to the micron besides running audio in/out. For example, the Micron has expression in and sustain jacks on the back, could the ring mod be plugged into those? would there be voltage issues?
I’m also hoping to get the Murf and cp-251 in the future, would it be possible to use those directly with the micron also? Thanks for any help you guys can give

I would contact Moog with your question about the inputs on the Micron if I were you, just to be safe. I don’t want to give you any advice that might harm your equipment. I recently read about someone plugging Moogerfoogers into an Alesis Andromeda and it worked fine, but that is a true analog synth so I wouldn’t automatically assume that the same goes for the Micron.

But if it does work, there would be a fairly limited amount of things you could do with just the Ring Mod. It has an LFO output, so you could modulate something on the Micron with that. But the Micron has its own LFOs, so it’s not adding much of anything new except maybe the ability to sync sweeps between the two. If you do get a CP-251 you’ll find it really opens up the possibilities of the other Moogerfoogers, and any other analog synths with CV for that matter.
