I’m sure its been discussed here, but does the Phatty keyboard have aftertouch, either for the internal sound engine or as a MIDI-transmitted parameter? Thanks.
The Phatty’s keyboard does NOT have aftertoch. It does offer velocity control over the filter, but that’s about it.
I’ve never controlled it from another keyboard, so I don’t know if it could receive aftertouch data over midi. If you have something like a Nord Modular G2 or a Kurzweil PC3, you could probably configure something to work however.
Thanks Peter. Specifically, I was wondering if the Phatty’s keyboard can send aftertouch data when playing another synth MIDI’d up to the Phatty, but it sounds like that would be a big “no”…
Indeed it’s a “no”. Unless there is a hidden setting to enable it. I’ve tried.

there is no aftertouch ribbon strip installed in the LP. Ive looked. I did notice, however, that the keybed is the EXACT same fit (screws and all) as my Novation remote SL which DOES have an aftertouch ribbon underneath.
Any modders with spare time got any ideas on how to do an aftertouch mod?
