I wanted to start this year with a nice chilled session using my Sub37 and Slim Phatty. Unfortunately I encountered some problems after installing the new beta Editor + USB driver for the Sub37.
After installing the new USB driver for the Sub37 Editor (MoogMusic_MIDI_DriverSetup_v2.23.0) I found that my Slim Phatty disappeared from the Input/Output MIDI Ports in Ableton.
Still I can see both synths in the Windows Device Manager.
This problem is reproducable: When I remove the driver the Slim Phatty is back and I can use it normally like before. After installation the SP is not shown.
If you need any more information please let me know.
This sounds like a similar issue that happened to the Minitaur when I tried using the new USB driver. As Amos mentioned in the opening of this Beta Test forum firmware updates to the Minitaur and Sub Phatty are going to closely follow the work on the Sub 37, which are required to work with the new driver.
I had an issue when installing the sub37 drivers as well…My subphatty driver originally placed into audio device (Windows) was under the 37 root in device manager after sub37 instal…After a reinstall of the subphatty (just de-install manually drivers) and replug the subphatty, everything was fine then.
There are still a few fixes that should be applied to the USB driver so these conflicts do not happen, as well as firmware upgrades to Minitaur and Sub Phatty. Hopefully they will all be available for inspection soon.
