Advise on Moogerfoogers

Hi

Im considering buying some Moogerfoogers to enhance my Little Phatty Stage synth.
Im looking to create some really twisted effect sounds
(Similar to early BBC radiophonic workshop sounds)

Can anyone please help me choose which Foogers would be the best option for these sort of sounds.

Regards Paul

Ring Mod MF 102-an absolute must have! MF-101 Low Pass Filter-Classic Moog filter. MF 107 Freq Box-for those triple oscillator effects. CP-251 is also a must have, as well as no fewer than 30 patch cables ranging in lengths of 6-18 inches. Might as well throw in a couple EP-2’s or multipedals unless you can build (or get someone to build) a homemade CV controller…like me.

i have to agree with everything “Voltor07” wrote

Hi Again

Thanks for the replies so far

I must admitt i was considering the CP-251, Ring Mod MF 102, and MF 107 Freq Box…

Please forgive my ignorance but what would the MF-101 Low Pass Filter give me that the filter in the Little Phatty cant achive…?

By the way, loving the latest upgrade for the Phatty

Any tips on linking the Moogers to the phatty for way out EMS Synthi sounds would be great…

Paul

By the way what is the EP-2…?

Found it…
Its the Expression pedal…Thanks

Paul

It would give you more filtering, and add even more depth to your sound. You could, for example, run the MF-102 through it and filter the carrier oscillator. Or, you could run your MF-107 through it and filter the oscillator, then feed the filtered signal through the ring mod, and run THAT through the Audio IN of the LP. Don’t limit yourself by asking, “Why do I need that?” The question to ask is, “How could I implement this in my rig?”

Think about this

You have your OSC basic waveform, then you apply a fast sample and hold to the filter thats filtering it.
THen, you take an external low pass filter and then do a slow slightly resonant sweep of that and it sounds very sweet. I have done that with the micro and the voyager and it is very excellent.
