Accessory ports?

does anyone know if there is a way to convert the old accessory ports (Model D and MicroMoog) to work with either VX expanders?

I would assume that if you were able to obtain the pin-outs of both the older Mini’s and the Voyager/VX it would simply be a matter of making a cable to match the corresponding signals.

I believe signal levels shouldn’t be a problem since only analog signals are sent out of the accessory ports. I would assume the levels could be slightly different in the different generations but I think it would be slight.

You could try asking around (and asking Moog Music) for the pin-outs. They may have the pin-outs for both, but if not at least for the current production products.

I know that synth dotcom will make a V to S-trig cable with the C-J plug that you need but no accessory ports.

moogce.com would be able to make you a cable im sure (or just supply the pins)

The 6 pin Minimoog D accessory ports only supply power and ground.
That’s it.

ohhh ok… makes sense, now that i think of it all the old moog accessories (in the pics ive seen) did have other cable for CV and trig

The accessories also (besides CV and/or gate leads) have a connector to take their power (10v) from Mini, or Micro.

This is true for the moog drum, sample+hold, and maybe ribbon controller too.

There was also a joystick controller and later, big briar made an X-Y touch panel controller (just like the one on the voyager).
