That’s what I’ve been experimenting with; Theremini CV Out to Sub 37, with the audio of the Sub 37 going into a Strymon El Capistan… really lovely results!
EP-3 Expression Pedal controlling the Filter CV gives so much life to the patches. Trick is to save with the Filter very low, so you have ample room to sweep-up into the useful range of the sound during performance.
Minifooger Delay is an almost perfect match for the Sub37. The Drive on the MF Delay is very nice for adding vintage character to the sound. The MF Delay has a big low-end, and can even hold low drone tones in self-oscillation.
Hardwire Supernatural Reverb—I use the Spring Setting, again going after the vintage tones.
Arutia MicroBrute—a great analog mono-synth which has CV outs. Note: I have successfully used its LFO out to modulate the MF Delay via the EXP IN creating a great sounding tape-warble effect. Have also modulated the Sub37 using the MB outs, but not enough to comment (usually just find another way to do the same thing inside the 37)
Roland TR-505—This was my first drum machine in the '80s, and I still use it daily. You can turn sounds ON/OFF in real-time using the pads, and it can even act like a multi-channel step-sequencer (or sorts). Best part is the larger TEMPO knob which controls everyone’s timing. Audio out often goes through the Sub37 or MB to be gated and filtered.
Now what I need, is the right amplifier. Something small/lightweight, but loud and deep-sounding enough to play with a full rock band and be heard at practice (also to use as a monitor at gigs). Currently using an old, beat-up Roland Cube 60 Keyboard and it’s just alright, slightly under-powered.

My favorite accessory is my Sub Phatty for use as additional oscillators. Sometimes I just leave the filters, etc on the Sub P open and let the 37 do the rest of the work. Other times the Sub P does it’s thing locally (filters, envelopes, etc) before sending the audio to the 37 for more fun.
I dont have any Moogerfoogers yet but am seriously looking at them to see how I can add them to the mix.
