About sequence start

Hi guys,

I don’t get it working:
I want to start a sequence synchronized manually to a drummer or a drummachine (NOT MIDI synchronized!).
So I start the drummachine and tap the tempo synchron.
(Btw, thanks for making the tap function working continuously in the last firmware update).

Then I switch on the sequencer and press a key to start the sequence on the first note of the bar.
But the sequence will not start exactly on my keypress, but with a little delay.

I think the clock of the sequencer should be resetted with the keypress, so one can be able to press a key every 4th bar for instance, to keep the sequence in sync. (no one can tap in as exactly as to be in sync over many bars, especially not with the button on the panel)

Can anybody confirm this? Or telling me, whats the best way to do it?

I suggest, resetting the clock should be enabled with the “step 1 reset” function also.

cheers
Bernard

Global >> Sequencer Options >> Phase Reset >> ON

Does that help? (worked for me)

However, I wish that setting was available per Preset.

Phase reset! Of course, thanks Oli. I just forgot it.

Would be more convenient, if these parameters located on the left side in the editors setup page, under the arpeggiator section like the arp settings too.

cheers,
Bernard

Hi,

You mean in the editor page…under the arpeggio section.
And then put these parameters in the sync src…course this casket has in anyway no function on the moment.

Hmm, I can see the logic for having Phase Reset over on the Setup page – it’s a global parameter. Everything in the ARP and Sequencer sections is stored with the preset, no globals allowed. I agree that it is hidden. Just butting in; never mind!

hey Lu,
no, I meant the setup page.
On the panel, the arp section is on left, on the editor page the the arp/seq page (bottom) is left, but on the setup page the seq options are in the middle.

That’s for future surprises. We could start a competition what’s coming in there.

have a nice weekend
