Hi everybody,

plugin :frowning: i also try to rescan my vst folder with live.. but still dont find it!

thx

I’m getting the same here. The standalone version works fine via USB. But using Live 32-bit on Win 7 x64 the plug in is not showing up at all in the plugs list.

Tony

I have the same problem, using windows 7 64bit, Ableton Live 9 64bit.

So i put the minitaur.dll in my vst plugins and rescanned the lot. Nothing shows up.

Where is the minitaur pOLiCe. Please help us

Double post ‘removed’

Ditto but in Reaper and ‘VSTHost’.
Stand-alone works OK as long as you only have USB connected. If you have USB and MIDI DIN connected, it only works for a short time then the editor disconnects.
There’s no audition feature in the editor so you can’t hear your sound while you’re using the stand-along editor.

I am using both succesfully, plug in and Live must be both in 32 or 64 bits.

Also, they cant share the MIDI port (plug in and Live), minitaur plug use the USB ports and Live sequences the minitaur thrugh another midi interface.

Same problem here with Live v9 Win 7 32bit - Minitaur VST plugin does appear in Live.

Submitted a support request weeks ago, no reply from Moog yet.

See the “Minitaur Editor - Hardware Disconnected” thread.

Same problem
Windows 8.1 64bit with ableton Live 9.1 64bit

I can use the standalone editor OK, send presets, etc.

When it comes to the plugin it just doesn´t show i my plugins folder. I´d need to integrate this with Ableton for a live performace.

Tried pasting the x86 dll in the x86 Vstplugins folder = nothing
Tried pasting the x64 dll in the x64 Vstplugins folder = nothing
Run ableton as admin, run ableton as standar user = nothing
Tried the same process with Live 8.3 = nothing
All test done with the standalone editor CLOSED = nothing
Turning off the minitaur driver in preferences = nothing
Turning on the minitaur driver in preferences = nothing

Went to a friend´s house with the minitaur and the editor. He also has Live 9.1 64bit running on LION OSX instead Win 8.1 = Plugin loaded OK

I´m i doing something wrong or is there some problem with the windows dll´s??

If someone made this work i would appreciate a solution (note this problem is not the “Minitaur Editor - Hardware Disconnected”, i can interact well with the standalone, just the plugin doesn´t show in any of my DAW :frowning: )

Hi guys, there’s a new build of the Minitaur editor which I think will solve this “not visible in the DAW” problem.

Please try it, and report whether or not it works!

Also a note that we’re working on the “hardware disconnected” problem, although I don’t expect that this Editor build will fix that separate issue.

Hi Amos,

Live now sees the plug-in. However, it appears as an audio effect plug in and the channel the plug in is inserted won’t send midi data.

Should it not be a midi FX plug?

Tony

thanks amos!

Hi Amo, the new minitaur editor plugin dont work again.. i cant see the plugin in ableton live.. im using windows 7 32 bit with ableton live 8!
and always if i plug the minitaur with a usb cable.. i always get noise on the audio output.. the sound is not clear… :frowning: i got the minitaur 3-4 month now..
but no fun only problems :frowning:((( so please help someone or i will sell them and never buy a moog again :frowning:

Doesn’t seem to work with Cubase. :frowning:

Sorry Amos,

Still not visible in Ableton Live :frowning:

(Win7 32bit/Live 9.14)

Cubase 7.5, Windows 8.1 here. Plug-in shows up as an audio FX plug-in. Not use-able as-is.

Same here, plug in still no show.

Win7/ Ableton 9 (64bit) Minitaur 3.01

rescanned the folder but nothing yet.

Hi Amos. Thanks for the update.
I had some improvement with this, but still problems.

Windows 8.1 64bits.
Live 9.0.5 32bits

Minitaur Editor(x86).dll - it´s shown at plugins in live (that´s an improvement :exclamation: ). However… when clicking the plugin, or drag it into my proyect, the loading wheel starts rolling, then the plugin doesn´t load and after some time live it´s complete freezed and i need to kill it (ctr+alt+sup).. So for me it shows up, but it doesn´t work.

Minitaur Editor(x64).dll - doesn´t show in my list, since my live is 32bits i suppose it´s ovious…

StandAlone - works ok as before side by side with live. I have to open the minitaur app first then live, so Ableton won´t take the minitaur driver for itself.. but is annoying to swiths applications in a live show everytime i need a new minitaur preset…

Any idea?. thanks.

Hello all,

My goal is to get the Minitaur editor working for everyone.

I think the best way to proceed with this plugin issue is for the Editor programmer and myself to work directly with a few people who are having this problem, since everyone’s computer setup is slightly different.

Please PM me your email address, or email me directly at amos at moogmusic dot com, if you would like to participate. Thank you!

Working like a charm with the latest 3.0.3.
Plugins shows up, loads ok now, and receives the presets ok, even when loading opening an ableton project, minitaur will automatically get the preset from the vst without any action. So no more issues for me with the 3.0.3
Live 9. Win 8.1 64bit.
