A Stevie Wonder classic song on the Minimoog D

My remake of the song "You haven’t done nothin’ " from the 1974 album “Fulfillingnes’ first finale”.

Drums: Vintage Roland TR-77
Vocoder: Alesis ion.
Everything else: Minimoog D on many multiple tracks

Note: everything played live by hand, one track at a time except drum machine of course  .
I decided to sing into a vocoder because I can’t really sing that well.

Enjoy this remake.

This is really great! I love that album and you managed to capture all the parts pretty damn well!
The vocoder is something a bit different and I like how you kept the end bends on the first lines of the verses.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks David. I’m glad it was up to your expectations

It wasn’t easy, as I’m no Stevie Wonder on the keys, and a few things are still missing but having spent the last three days on it, I felt it was good enough.

Yeah, that vocoder is rather rough, but gives it a new “robotic” flavor. It was kinda hard operating the mod wheels while singing a certain “special” way for the vocoder (articulating a lot more than usual).

Thanks again.

Enjoyed it. I love that era, and actually remember that album and song very well. Always loved me some stevie, thanks.
