A dozen Moog guitars at Disney Concert Hall

Next weekend there is a show at Walt Disney Concert Hall. On the bill are Kronos Quartet, Terry Riley, and Matmos. Mike Einziger (of Incubus) is also on the bill with a piece he has written for 12 Moog guitars.

A few of my friends are playing in the ensemble and picked up their guitars today. Too cool!

One can almost liken this to the first theremin symphony.

I’m pretty excited about this. Hopefully, it’ll generate some press for the Moog guitar.

Simply going to be amazing! :open_mouth:

Fantastic! The only thing that could top that is if glen branka redid his 100 guitar orchestra and made it 100 moog guitar orchestra

I saw that Branca performance at Disney a few years ago. We were able to sit third row, center - right behind the conductor. It was an amazing experience, as the whole venue seemed to vibrate.

I played in an ensemble earlier this year that was 20 electric guitars. That was a lot of fun, too. The electric guitar can have so much power.

I’m really looking forward to the show this weekend. It’ll be great to hear 12 Moog guitars doing their thing. Hopefully, I can get some good seats.

They could perform the Main Street Electric Parade theme, which was originally performed by Beaver & Krause on a Moog Modular
