3rd Clue (missing?)

hmmmm, something fishy is going on.

Moog put up a 3rd clue today… then took it down, along with our original forum thread about it.

maybe somebody over at moog spoke too soon, or could this be one of the biggest hype-jobs ever!? Either way, it’s working

I posted the text of the clue, but it was probably not ready for release. There was a weird sentece that was obviously not finished.

But if you are clever about URLs and care to sleuth it out, the final clue reveals all.

Taking Shape: Time to Put it Together!

Thanks to everyone for providing superb guesses and creating the most interesting mock-up designs, especially the Sailboat with the cool Moog Voyager Mast. Absolutely brilliant!

Thanks for fueling the overall enjoyment of launching Moog’s exciting new product! We still have one more week until the full unveiling at Musik Messe where it will all come together.

We strive to provide everything you have come to expect from Moog while keeping you pleasantly surprised. We will see you in Frankfurt.

And by the way? All my dreams came true!

it’s broken! who broke it! somebody call the cops!

It’s going to be a kit!!

BTW, can someone enhance the photo so we a clear picture what is in the background?

God, I hope not. I just want a cheap Moog.

3 octaves, 1 knob

definitely a source based synth.

probably go for $2000

and be of high quality.

i could be wrong though. i hope i’m wrong about the price!

What is that in the background on the black thing? Looks like a 9v battery..or a some sort of lightbulb.

Also, there’s another piece of wood back there that is a different shape.

…any guesses?

I bet it’s a fuse/transformer…i bet the power plug is on the left side panel near the rear

ok, so now that we know its a synth…i should probably call up my credit card company and put in an application for a higher credit line on my credit card…but how much higher?

I have funds saved for this…glad that this confirms that it is a keyboard. Can’t wait…

I almost looks like a TUBE!!

Did I just say that?

it looks like a lawn mower…

OH MY GOD I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!!

BAH!!!

Oh, I WISH it was a tube… a Moog tube-based monosynth would be FABULOUS. Talk about delightfully unique and undoubtedly gorgeous-sounding.
I’m happy to see its a keyboard, too…
Now, please please let it be surprisingly affordable, fully analog, and for the love of GOD possessing MORE THAN ONE KNOB. ; )

I’m going to go ahead and guess a new Prodigy - lets say… 2 VCOs w/ continuously variable waveforms, patch memory system similar to MiniMoog Voyager, but no 3D touch surface. Similar envelopes… MIDI/pedal control inputs…

backlit panel (in amber, if that’s what the light was in the 1st clue)…

all of that, or, maybe, just a single knob that reads “awesome!” and goes from 1-8.

Price… lets seeeee… I guess a bit above 2000 list.

I’m also clearing up space on my credit card, heh. Looks really nifty.

depending on the features of whatever this will be…I’m going to need to sell my new Prodigy along with my MG-1

fudge

Metasonix just relesed a tube monosynth. It sounds like sh*t, but with Metasonix I think thats the point

The problem with tube synths is that you can’t get a very good range on them. The new Metasonix only has a 2 octave range.

It’s nothing to do with this then…?
