30 seconds of excitement! New track called "30 secs&qu

It’s short, but sweet and to the point. Let me know if you like, or not. Feedback of any type is always appreciated

I did enjoy listening to this and your other tunes. Of those you have at Reverbnation, it’s my favorite, I think because I like the melody, and the way you articulate it with tonal and pitch inflection.

You are very good indeed with the Voyager, and with the way you construct tunes around its capabilities. The melodies are effective, creative and original.

On balance, what I don’t care for so much is the lack of musical interest for me in terms of harmonic / chordal development. In spite of the artistic and creative craft you display on the technical side with your Moog, after about one minute or so the tunes lose my interest from a purely musical standpoint. Have you had the benefit of musical education?

Thanks for sharing your work filtersweeperVCO.

Thanks for the indepth feedback. It’s rare to get any feedback in such forums. I took organ lessons growing up, and I played drums. No theory, or learning about chord progression type stuff. I only recently learned about this stuff. This could be why my tunes so far lack complexity. But i’m still learning, and hope to get better with practice.
thanks for the reply

Good stuff man, reminds me of aphex twin or squarepusher. . I love the “doodoo-doo-doodoo-doo-doo” in “inner skankdom” . and just overall really good programing. its repetitive but with alot little stuff going on to keep it interesting, like the filter sweeps, crazy caffenine endused drum fills, and bizzare vocal samples. i like

thanks colorform, that’s the nature of the beast with electronic music. Repetitive (or progressive) Whatever you want to call it. Thanks for the comments!

Helluw Filtersweeper…

As a DnB producer myself i have to say that you have some really good and original stuff on you’re page…really like the wobbly base you’ve been playing on Inner skankdom.

Only thing that i find a bit less so to say is that the beats from Inner Skankdom and 30 Sec. sound to much alike for my liking

Next to this i would vary a bit more on the style of DnB beats…and try to mix the snare a bit more agressive and you’re there… :sunglasses:

thanks for the response! I checked out your myspace and I like your tunes. The music you heard is the only stuff I’ve made. So with time and practice I will get better. I will take your advice. The beats are similar, and this is because I need new drum hit samples to upload onto my MPC. Keep in touch.
