Last month, my beloved ‘22 Minimoog Reissue which had been under light surgery here in the UK got “lost” (according to The Right Honourable Courier Chatbot Clive) during delivery back to me and apparently never showed up at my local courier depot after a “failed” delivery attempt (I was at home).
Aw, I’m sorry. It’s not a Moog story, but earlier this year I sold my vintage Yamaha DX7II-FD on Reverb.com and had a total nightmare experience. UPS said it couldn’t be delivered the first time I shipped it because the address was invalid, which was pure nonsense. And then the second time I shipped it they completely destroyed it. And I mean, they did so much damage the bloody metal frame was bent and twisted all out of shape. I couldn’t have done that kind of damage to it without a hammer or stomping on it or something. A classic vintage instrument destroyed completely, probably because some delivery driver didn’t want to do his bloody job. I guess to be fair to Reverb, they were awesome about it. They honored their protection plan I bought for shipping and reached out to the poor buyer, whom I don’t think has done anything about it. But your comment “2025. What a great one.” sure rings true for me too
