1982 Prodigy

I recently came across this beauty that my father purchased new. It’s not my personal style and have many friends in bands who are pretty much begging me to let them have it.
Since I would much rather a friend have it in a situation where I can still play with it sometimes than to say, sell it to the highest bid, I’m wondering if anyone could suggest a friend price for it. What seems fair to you?

A good friend price?

400-500 maybe? You might can get 700 or more perhaps, but I never did really watch prodigy auctions. I think they have gotten considerably more for that.

My father got a Micro shipped to him, so he was the second owner. It was his ex brother in laws unit that he babied, shipped it to my dad and now I have it. It wasn’t my style for years, but once I spent the time to learn it, I woudl never ever part with it.

Since yours is a one owner unit, unless it was abused it is probably in better shape than one that changed hands. You might want to seriously consider hanging on to it and waiting, as that is one of Moogs more popular releases.

oh no, don’t sell a Prodigy if you don’t need the money to buy food to survive. A Prodigy, as all Moog synthesizers I know, is a real musical instrument rather than an electronic system. I would prefer to get a little more slim but keep a wonderful companion.
