1975 MXR Distortion plus or MF-Drive ?

I’m going to buy (as soon as I make up my mind) a new pedal. I’m looking at a 1975 MXR Distortion plus. I was all set to pull the trigger then I remembered the MF Drive.HMM ??? Does any one have any thoughts on this? It will be used gently with synths and wave drums.

With the MF-Drive you get a twofer: Distortion plus a sweepable filter.
