1974 Model D restoration- Rosen Sound?

It’s time to do my single-owner (me) Model D justice. Serial #3649, I bought it in Houston in 1974. Played it on gigs 5-6 nights a week up until the mid 90’s, mostly for left-hand Bass.

Around 1980 I ‘split’ it, by making a custom cable and replacing the connectors for the control panel. That way I could put my Prophet-5 on top of the MM kybd, and have the MM control panel to my left.

For bass, I didn’t like having F be the low key, so I re-arranged the keytops to have C as the lowest key, and just retuned to match. Check out what happened to the top octave from doing that…

Back in '06, I was trying to get my original one restored, but Kevin Lightner was just winding down, and no one else seemed adequate. I ended up buying a Model D, #5431 that had been nicely restored by Kevin, and still have that in my studio.

I came across Rosen Sound, thinking about having them do the restore. Any feedback?

Have you received any feedback thus far?
