105M Firmware Version is 1.9?!

Hi

I recently received my MIIDI Murf from an ebay purchase and getting to grips with it. I was wondering if the firmware was up to date, so checked what was on it already, as per instructions in manual.

Drive light blinks once, Bypass blinks 9 times. So I have F/W 1.9.

Looks like 1.8 was the last version to be released however?!!! Has anyone else got 1.9? Any idea what was updated since 1.8? Any idea where I can download 1.9 if I need it?

“FIRMWARE UPDATE VIA MIDI: The MF-105M can be enabled to receive MIDI SysEx data containing the Operating Firmware for the MIDI MuRF by powering up in what is called “Bootloader Mode”. This is done by setting the LFO and FREQ switch in the rightmost position and pressing the Bypass switch while the unit is powered up. The Drive and Bypass lights will blink, followed by all LEDs lighting up green. This indicates the unit is in Bootloader Mode and can be sent firmware via a MIDI connection. More information about this feature as well as tools for downloading firmware can be found on the www.moogmusic.com website.”

Thanks all

Hi kwtsh,

I’m not near my MF-105M right now but, if memory serves, the blinking pattern (after powering up in Bootloader Mode) indicates the version number of the Bootloader software, not the Firmware version.

I believe you’ll see the Firmware Version indication right after you do an update or if you send it a tiny SysEx command called _Display_Version_MF105M_Cmd.syx.

I know fer sure that this is how it’s done on the MF-104M, so it’s very likely the same for the MF-105M.
