Man! I just learned that i can use my 102 as an extra Osc. Jeez Ive been living in a cave. (and Ive had it for probably 2 years lolol)
My question is regarding attenuation.
My MicroMoog is a model that has the attenuation knob on the keyboard output. In the owners manual it says that this purpose is for external oscilator modules. (and other things)
For instance, with attenuation, using a 921 style osc you would be able to have that external osc track the osc on the Micro.
With a different setting of attenuation, you could have that external osc scaled to produce quarter tones or to even track in reverse.
Can i do this with the Cp-251 and the Mf-102?
THe reason why i ask is because the MicroMoog attenuation knob alone is not sufficient to properly scale the 102 (at least as far as I know).
Another question about the 102’s VC ins and outs…
Lets say that Im trying to control the 102 used as an external osc and i have the pitch out (from the synth) to the Freq in. Carrier out to Audio In like the LOTRM article describes.
Can I have the LFO out to the Mix in and have it modulate the mix amount or will I need the cp251 and its glorious attenuator?
Also, do I have to run it back in to the Micro to have it filtered or to have the EnvGen stop the voltage?
THanks!
