Could I use just one power supply and daisy chain to all my foogers?

I would guess that the requirements for multiple Moogerfoogers would draw more current than a single out-of-the-box power supply provides. However, IANAEE. That said, Steve D. once sent me the following info when I inquired about a single suplly for multiple 'foogers.

There is a really good product by a company called Voodoo Labs, which is called “Pedal Power” which can be a single source for multiple effects.

sure, but finding one that works may be a bit of a challenge.

Boss-style barrel power adaptors (which are the most common amongst effect pedals) are sleeve positive, tip negative, while moogerfoogers require a sleeve negative, tip positive power supply.

both are 9V DC.

moogerfoogers also require a slightly longer plug than most boss-style effects and the standard boss power adaptor will not stay in a moogerfooger.

i should note that moogerfoogers (according to the instruction manual, anyway - i’ve never tried it) have protection against damage in case you plug in a sleeve positive power supply.

i have a voodoo labs pedal power unit and once contacted the VL people to ask if they could make a cable that could power moogerfoogers from the pedal power unit (all the cables included with the VL PP are sleeve positive), they said it wouldn’t be a problem and that you could order the appropriate cable from them for a nominal cost.

Not only do you need to use a different cable, but I have found that only the #5 & #6 jacks (designed for Line6 pedals) work for most of my Moog pedals.

I power my 1120 Moog Pedal, MF-101, MF-102, MF-103, MF-104 and two CP-251 units with a Voodoo Pedal Power I had the connectors specially made for about $10 apiece.

Another vote for the PP2. I use the Pedal Power 2 to power my moogers(one of each). I made my own reverse polarity cables and the only one that doesn’t work on the regular jacks is the MF-104 which you need to use the Line 6 jack for.

Oh yeah, thanks for adding the bit about the MF104. I just run the wallwart from the AC of my PP (not 2).

After dzy88p posted his success with the PP2 I decided to retest my stuff. It works better than I thought, but I may have a damaged PP2. Here’s what I found:

  1. The 104 definitely needs the 200ma (Line6) jack.

  2. The 101, 102 & 103 worked on all the jacks except #2. They would startup then crap out within a few seconds. (Fortunately they all start right up again with correct voltage - no damage). I measured the voltages from all the jacks and whereas 1,3,4,7,8 consistantly gave me 9.4 - 9.5 or better, #2 only got 9.32. I flipped the dip switch a few times, but still the same. Could be that the Moog pedals flat wont operate below a certain voltage.

  3. I also tested all four pedals simultaneously powered by the 4 jacks on my VHT Valvulator. Works fine.

How is the “hum/noise” with multiple Foogers and the Pedal Power? Despite being powered I would think that there would still be a bit of noise…

it has 8x9V DC outputs and each one is isolated from others…do you think it will work with moogerfoogers? the price is quite good

I’ve had a PP+ for months but haven’t got around to replacing MF warts yet.
Anyway, all the outlets on the PP+ are isolated from each other so there should be no noise, hum, or feedback.
