I just downloaded and installed 0.9.28 on OSX 10.11.2. It went through the process fine even without changing my system security to install apps form anywhere. However, when I looked at the app in finder it said it was still 0.9.27 (see attached picture). I then tried allowing app installs from anywhere and re-installed it and it still said 0.9.27. Is it not actually updating or is the version that’s showing in Finder wrong?
On a related note, it would be nice to have an “About” window that you can open from the top menu that tells you the version to clarify such things.
That’s strange. The installer didn’t give any errors? I’ve only installed the stand-alone editor, for 0.9.26, 27, and 28, and each one just writes over the older one.
Here’s mine:
Maybe relaunch the finder to clear its cache?? Hold down the option key, and two-finger tap the Finder icon in the dock, and select Relaunch at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
Ok. Thanks. Looking at the version number on the setup page shows it correctly as 0.9.28 on my system so that means it did install properly. I guess it’s just wrong in Finder where it still shows 0.9.27.
