Re: What's a Voyager good for???

What may be the most important question is what sounds can the Voyager produce that will fit in with whatever music you're doing. If you're in a cover band, then that's a pretty important question. Otherwise, if you're doing original music, then does the sound palette offered by the Voyager fit with...

Re: Why do Moog make ring modulators?

If you think the Ring Mod's sound is out there, give the FreqBox a try. The Ring Mod will sound like a Stradivarius next to it!

Re: what should moog release next?

I don't blame them for wanting to be careful and utililize their pre-existing designs for as much as possible. Roland, Korg, and Yamaha are guilty of the same thing. Um, yeah. But Roland manages to get a lot of good stuff out there for way under 5000 bucks. We're not talking about RolandkorgAha tho...

Re: Micromoog pot replacement

If you're not too concerned with keeping it 100% stock, you might see if you can find pots that are the same values as the originals, that aren't large enough in back that they touch the PC board. You could then mount them to the panel, and use jumpers to wire them to the PC board. However, you shou...

There is no functional difference between them. The Performer, Electric Blue, and Select Series are all the same synth inside.

The MURF is made up of BP filters, except I believe the lowest is a HP and the highest is a LP. And, none of the filters have individual cut-off levels, though they each have their own volume level.

Okay, so I guess the answer to that would be no.

For my own edification, could one of the MURFs (standard, bass, and/or MIDI) be used as a formant filter for this patch? Their center freqs all seem to fall somewhere inside of the frequency range of the vowel formants. Would they actually need to be very close to the center frequency of the vowel f...

Finally, I can't wait for my T3's... They're gonna be beautiful, and rock in every conceivable way that rockage can occur. I truly hope your house has no structural problems...depending on the amp and speaker(s) you use, you may want to hire a building inspector before you get your Taurus III. :lol...
