Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions
Thanks! My main issue though, is the sound of it. I wish it had more "bite" to its effect, like the phaser. Would be very pleased if I could've tweaked some formants out of it. As I've managed yet, it's a little to subtle to be worth its price. Viewed from my way of using it, that is.

Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions
Worked a bit with it tonight. Used the drum machine to send midi clock and set it to 16ths. Did the trick. Used a loaded pattern which keeps the three low filter poles but alternates the upper ones. It's still not too far from the phaser, but it has a more ... metallic or aggressive feel to it that ...

Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions
I guess that the Voyager can do quite a lot MIDI-wise. Didn't think about that it could be set to send start/stop signals. Tried it again before bedtime and got a nice sound out of it. But then I realised it sounds close to what the 103 phaser does and switched to it. Sure enough, it was very close....

Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions
Ok. I'll give it a try. Though I don't use a DAW or sequencer. I want to play this by hand. Soldered the Step cable but unfortunately my Kento Pro Solo didn't send new gate triggers when holding down a key. Even though it's set to "new key" and "multi trig". That makes quite a di...

105M MuRF - First impressions
Just got a MuRF. And it's somewhat of a dissapointment so far. I can see (hear) the great rythmic effect it can do on a pad or for making a beat. But I aimed for using it to give my bass sound a different texture. Hoped that with the Envelope set to noon it would flow seamless between filter poles, ...

Ok. Now it worked! Just had to connect everything again and them start the program. Did as you suggested as well, Alien8.

Re: Can't send patterns to MuRF 105M (Mac)
If the MuRF is the only MIDI device connected, what MIDI channel to use? I'm not gonna control any parameters, just send a pattern.

Re: Can't send patterns to MuRF 105M (Mac)
The MuRF Downloader program, should I use that somehow? It does recognize my Saffire 6 soundcard. There's no such indication with the MuRF program.

Can't send patterns to MuRF 105M (Mac)
First I have to say that I'm a complete idiot when it comes to MIDI. The only thing I know is to put the cord in the MIDI Out on one device and MIDI In on another. If it doesn't work then I'm out of ideas. So. Just got the MIDI MuRF and I wanted to design my own pattern to try. But I don't know what...

Saving MuRF patterns in computer
Getting a MuRF any day now and thought I'd learn how to make my own patterns while waiting. Downloaded the software and tried it. Saved a pattern, but when I tried to load it into the edito there was nothing. Read the manual for the software but couldn't find anything except info that I could save a...

Re: Live computerfree gig with analog synthesizers (Moogs!!)
Ah, did you get an upgrade to the touch pad to turn it into a set list screen? :) Haha! No, quite the opposite. Downgraded to notepad in case I don't remember all stations at the local tram-line (which are the lyrics for one of the songs) Lovely sounds and vibe there. Look forward to your next one!...

Re: Live computerfree gig with analog synthesizers (Moogs!!)
Thanks! Working on a new song with more of an 80's feel to it. A little synthwave-ish with vocoder. Had an idea and today my bandmates took it to a new level. Such an amazing thing to play them a demo and then letting it evolve during rehearsals.

Re: 105M does it suit me? All input appreciated!
Thanks for taking your time to make me a demo! That really answered a lot of my questions about the "sound" of the MuRF, although I will play a (bass)synth. But that will only enhance the character of the sounds you demoed, so I'm quite pleased. I'll make sure to post a demo when I've gott...
