Re: What polysynth to go along with a Voyager?

I have one at home right now that I've borrowed and I feel the same.

Thinking about a Prophet 6. Reeeeeally expensive though. But the Voyager wasn't cheap either and I absolutely love it, and play a lot on it because of that.

What polysynth to go along with a Voyager?

I'm about to get me my first polyphonic synth. I've thought about a Juno orJX3/8P, mainly because I like the 80's sound. But maybe I'll get too restricted sonically with those. Have heard about some that pair their Minimoogs with DSI or Sequential. Tried a friends Prophet08 and really liked it. But ...

MF Drive, possible for the filter to open more?

I enjoy the drive but I would like the filter to be more open. Or is it the drive circuit that makes the sound "duller"? I'm a bit disappointed by that. Maybe with the knob att full and an expression pedal too? Or is the a mod that can be done?

Re: Default under-the-hood presets possible?

Ok. I will only need one preset. So if that one's on oscillator reset, it should always be set to that when powering up? Just got my Minitaur so I'll get it hooked up to a computer this weekend.

Re: First post

Ha! I went the exact same route. Also a bss player originally, fell in love with the funkiness of a 101, then bought a 107 to make synth bass amd then the 103. After that there was no stopping. A year ago I realised I had to have a synth that I could play basslines with, so I took the plunge and got...

Re: Just bought a MF-Drive!

Just ordered one along with a Minitaur. Just to make sure, it does go way beyond the Drive on a MF101? I have that fooger and it would be silly if I just bought a stripped down version of it. When reading about the MF Drive and listening to demos it seems like a whole different story although with t...

MF Drive compared to MF101

I've just asked my local music shop to order a Minitaur and a Minifooger Drive. Thought I'd add the latter to bring some roar to the basslines. But just to make sure, the Drive is a whole other story than the MF101? Cause I have that one, and I want something that doesn't just overdrivea but distort...

Re: Default under-the-hood presets possible?

Yes, I know. But is it possible to make your own default settings for when it is started?

Default under-the-hood presets possible?

I'm close to buying a Minitaur. But one thing might keep me from it. I don't use a computer when playing and making music, so I would like the Minitaur to be set to certain under-the-hood settings when turning it on. Trigger, Osc Reset etc. I've read that this wasn't possible when it came out. Is it...

Ok. I'll think about it.

I don't use a computer. I play it live in a band.

Great. Thanks!
Though I still need something to do the VCA-work. I don't want it to go back into the Voyager through ext in since that will reduce the bass when resonance is high. I want it parallel.

107 as sub-osc to Voyager. How to patch? What gear?

I've been experimenting with having a parallel synth to the Voyager with no resonance to keep a solid bass and be more free to tweak character out of the Voyager. This is mainly for bass patches, since that is what I almost exclusively do. (You can see my posts about that in the Voyager and Minitaur...
