Re: Would love a Eurorack version of CP-251

i hear you! and also figured that the volt output was part of the issue. i know "b" has lots of stuff now for euro and although useful and affordable, i have sworn off purchasing anymore of their stuff "except maybe" that 606 redo looks interesting and also affordable.... anywho...

Re: Would love a Eurorack version of CP-251

FWIW, the CP251's +/- 5.6VDC range limits the usefulness of it with euroracks nominal +/- 8 to 10VDC CV range. For what is basically only a CV utility, this leaves quite a bit to be desired not being able to express the entire CV range of outputs, or clipping out of range inputs. However, there are ...

Re: Mother 32 not working in my Eurorack

Many power supplies are spec'd way over what they can deliver. Had the same issue racking up two M32's, DFAM, and SubH. The DFAM and SubH wouldn't run on a single 4MS supply spec'd more than enough to run them, and a couple of other modules. Does the M32 run in your eurorack case with the other modu...

Re: Matriarch-Delay Sounds Muffled/Different From Original Sound

Well, IDK. It's analog of course but its way more muffled than say other moog delays or a tape echo. Curious of the experience of others. Interesting. Well, it should sound muffled compared to the original; BBD's don't have the bandwidth at normal clock rates. It shouldn't be too muffled though. Wh...

Fwiw, I lost a doepfer envelope follower to a reversed cable. Sheesh, poor consumer design.

These were the missing link.
Good! Glad you're on track now! Enjoy! I love System 10/15/35/55 architecture.

Re: Matriarch-Delay Sounds Muffled/Different From Original Sound

Are they analog or digital delays?

Moog would seem to be more likely to implement an analog delay, which will not have the bandwidth of a digital delay (at similar costs). So, it should sound more muffled and lacking the highs. I think you got what you paid for - an excellent synth :0)

Re: DFAM trigger gate properties

Hi,

Trigger input will only cycle the envelope generators. It will not advance the sequencer or any other state changes.

Adv/clock input will advance the sequencer only if the sequencer is in run mode.

Re: Got my first Moog, the DFAM -- 2 newbie questions.

Trigger input will only trigger Envelope generators. It does not advance the sequence - although the TEMPO control will - you probably saw this. Adv/Clock input will advance the sequence each time there is a positive clock in the sequencer is in RUN mode. This input disengages the internal TEMPO clo...

Circuit mods to Mother 32

I'm unhappy with the envelope timing. In my work, I'm finding the traditional 4 decimal orders of magnitude of Attack/Decay timing provided by Moog engineering for their products, poorly expressed in modern 9mm SMT rotary potentiometers. Even 'high quality' Taiwan Alpha pots have an end resistance v...

Re: Moog Model 10 > Kenton Pro-2000 > MIDI keyboard

Looking at the KENTON manual: - config gate for s-trig. Get/make 1/4 TR to Cinch Jones connector (pin polarity noted in manual). - config Note for Volt/oct Patch: RANDON SIGNAL GENERATOR/WHITE NOISE SOURCE->904A->902->audio out KENTON (GATE) ->911->MULT->904A & 902 Settings: 911-T1=200ms, T2=0, ...

Re: Moog Model 10 > Kenton Pro-2000 > MIDI keyboard

Couple of things: - 904A freq range =3. Try 1, 3 is pretty high CF. Maybe you're not hearing it. - S-trig (2 prog black connectors). Model 10 doesn't have a V-trig source. Every modern vendor besides vintage Moog uses a V-trig, like your keyboard. Model 10/15/35/55 uses a S-trig. They are not the sa...

Re: Moog Model 10 > Kenton Pro-2000 > MIDI keyboard

So, this is a little different from what you posted on gearslutz, where nothing seems ed to work. It 'sounds' perhaps like your gate trigger is too short. The S-trig and V-trig has sustain information (how long the note sustains), determined by how long the trigger is asserted (low for S-trig, High ...

Board navigation

Any chance of adding the sub-forum in the nav-bar? It's a pain to navigate to the top, and back down. Using 'back' leaves the forum state stale, and requires a page reload anyway.

Re: Can't sync DFAM from Mother32

I've noticed a tendency for it to start one step off sometimes. Not sure why yet.

This has been when I sync mine to SubH. Will look into it some more....
