Re: Sub 37 & CP-251 compatible?
You may be able to get minitaurs cheaper than slims. And they still polychain.

Re: Moog for Electronic Body Music
It's not strange at all that they don't have reverb or delay. If you bought a guitar, would it come with fx built in? Everyone wants different things in terms of effects. So synth makers don't include them. Although the DSI Pro 2 does have a bucket brigade delay, it's not the same chip as the moog ...

Re: Sub37 Keys seem to be turning yellow
how long have you had it? Maybe it's just memories of my grade school piano teacher, but I always wash my hands before I sit down at the synth. Not saying you have poor hygiene, just maybe oily hands?

Re: Moog for Electronic Body Music
The best? Moog Voyager XL. You have 5,000 USD?
Only have 1000? Sub Phatty. 1500? Either a Sub37, or Sub Phatty and a Minitaur.
Asking a generic question about which to buy, without telling us how much money you have, is an unwise question.

Re: Minitaur Unison / other Moog unison
I stacked an Ms-20 with my sub37. The bass destroyed my headphones. And I was perfectly ok with that.

Re: Minitaur: Controlling VCO2 Octave with EP-3
My guess would be similar to above, make two copies of the same patch, with different octave settings, then use a program change to toggle back and forth.

Re: Sub 37 & CP-251 compatible?
i use the two together everything I play (daily). The key thing to remember about the CV Mappings on the S37. Filter CV is fixed. Pitch and Vol are editable, as is Gate, but Gate can only be mapped to something that is on/off.

Buy whichever one you can afford. They will all help you accomplish those goals.

Re: Sub 37 ext in: very low headroom?
It MAY be the that the ext input on the moog is made for instrument level sources like a guitar going direct. The line level output of most synths is pretty hot. That's why playing a synth through some guitar fx pedals isn't great. Maybe try using a DI box with a -20db pad?

Re: what are you doing with your Sub 37?
I use mine alongside my MS-20m (no keyboard). I have the korg 16 step sequencer running the ms-20, and play complimentary parts on the moog. I will run an extra out of the sequencer to the filter cutoff of the moog, so there is a rhythmic component to the moog that is always in time with the korg.

Custom effects
I can't leave well enough alone. I like everything to match. I like fabrication. I have a mild case of ADD. What do all of these things have to do with my synth? Every pedal I get turns into a moogerfooger. I already posted the custom side panels I made for my Koma Elektronic pedal, but that was jus...

Favorite Moog Sound Lab performances
What's your favorite performance from the Moog Sound Lab? So far, and by far, mine is "The Mother We Share" by CHVRCHES. I wish Lauren had done more with that arpeggiator than just modulate the filter (which could and should have been done through CV). Maybe use the sub phatty to modulate ...

Re: I Dream of Wires....
I have only seen the hardcore edition... that being said, I would probably like the regular version. I really enjoyed all of the modular history and hearing from different artists, but the last 2.5 hours just seemed to be various eurorack manufacturers giving each other a reach around. Do we really ...

55 views and no responses. Did you guys not know you could remap the inputs? Or is talking about your settings considered insider trading?
