Re: 3rd oscillator freqbox and cv outputs
One thing to keep in mind is that the Little Phatty doesn't have any onboard volume control for external audio, and the oscillator out from the freqbox is *extremely* loud. In my experience, it hasn't worked to attenuate it through an MF-101 or any other Moogerfooger because the signal overdrives th...

MP-201 LFO Initial Value: Bug?
I'm wondering if people with MP-201 experience can tell me if the following behavior is normal or if it's a bug. I would expect that when an LFO Off state is set to "initial", that channel will always have the same value when turned off. But that isn't happening with my pedal. For example,...

Re: Can you use a Slim Phatty as a moogerfooger w/guitar?
Yes, you can. Anything plugged into the Audio In on the LP goes through the filter and the amplifier -- so anything you do to filter or volume parameters will have an effect on the sound. That opens up a fair number of possibilities: you can do anything you could do with an MF-101 pedal, plus additi...

Re: Bode Shifter: How does it work?
Well, I have no idea how it works, but it must have something to do with Bode plots. And since these are a way of representing relationships between frequency and phase, maybe it does some kind of phase shifting on individual frequency components?

Re: Alternate tuning...
Not to be Debbie Downer, but besides the ability to play quarter-tones and other unattainable note divisions, can't these alternate tunings and scales be attained by simply learning the intervals of these scales? Being monophonic, it's not like you're able to create chords that you otherwise couldn...

Re: Slim Phatty...I am So Angry!!!!
Maybe I'm missing your point, but isn't page 34 of the Slim Phatty manual describing exactly this capability? (Not the part about the slots, but the ability to link LPs and SPs and get multiple voices).

Re: slim or little phatty? what would you choose?
Also, if you get the LP you have the option of the CV output mod. It's looking like that might not be available on the SP (although I'm still hoping that there will be an as-yet-unannounced possibility there). That may or may not matter to you, but it's something to consider.

FWIW, mine does it too. This is a Stage I, serial SE00380, running OS 2.10S.

Re: External keyboards for Slim Phatty
Whichever kind of controller you get, be sure that it has a modwheel that can lock into a set value when you aren't touching it. Unless the Slim Phatty is different from the Little Phatty, there's no way to set a fixed/baseline amount of modulation without parking the mod wheel in a particular posit...

Re: Tuning Scale Function for Little Phatty?
Unless ... How close is the LP to being full in terms of code space? If they build the Slim Phatty with more memory they might have been able to add OS features that wouldn't fit into the Stage II memory. Although hopefully even if that's the case there will be an upgrade option for the Stage to get...

Ack ... Having no CV outs seriously lowers the appeal for me. I wonder if there will be a factory upgrade option similar to what exists for the Stage models?

Re: Moog iPhone app
One thing that makes sense about this (if it's real) -- Bob Moog was always interested in new formats/interfaces for humans to interact with electronic instruments. For me, the iPodTouch/iPhone/iPad way of doing things is very involving and "human" feeling -- I spend way more time with my ...
